It provides a host of wide-ranging services that cover vis ualization of multi-date\, multi- platform\, multi-sensor satellite data \ , free data & products download\, near support to disaster services\, Mobi le Apps for crowdsourcing\, and diverse geospatial applications\, for util ization by the citizens and government agencies. It is serving as G-govern ance platform by hosting applications of various Ministries/Departments of Central/State Government for planning\, monitoring and evaluation. Bhuvan also provides customized solutions to users to meet specific requirements . The versatility and applications on Bhuvan platform have grown over a pe riod of time. Its user base has increased drastically with time. Bhuvan is supporting 24 ministries/ departments of the central/ state government wi th more than 190 Applications at present. About 75 Android-based Mobile Ap plications are provided to various ministries for Field data collection. A ll the applications and services catered through Bhuvan are developed usin g open source solutions and all services are Open Geospatial Consortium (O GC) compliant. Bhuvan\, with its rich satellite and thematic data\, custom tools and applications\, is extremely useful for common users\, geospatia l professionals\, researchers and academia.
