Although a multi-car race didn't materialize as envisioned\, a n exciting and boundary pushing competition was still held on schedule at IMS on October 23\, 2021. The success of that IAC competition has since le d to a follow-on competition at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the 20 22 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on January 7: the Autonomous Challenge at CES. For this presentation\, Dr. Kris Kozak will give a behind the scen es look at the process that led up to the original competition\, provide i nsight into the technologies used in the cars\, and touch on some of the u nique challenges that were faced by competitors.\n\nMeeting Information:\n \nThis meeting will offer a hybrid-format which allows for in-person and o nline participation.\n\nThe in-person location will be hosted in a meeting room at Southwest Research Institute's (SwRI) Cafeteria.
