Dr. BK Das\, Director\, Instrumentation Research and Development Labor atory (IRDE)\, Dehradun was the chief guest at the workshop and gave a tal k on Modern Sensor Scenario. Prof. GS Mani\, Chair\, Joint Chapter of IEEE AP\, MTT and EMC (JCAME)\, Pune section was a guest of honor at the inaug ural function\, he was felicitated for his contributions to Defense Resear ch in the field of Antenna and Wireless Communication technologies over th e past four decades shown in Figure (1). The program was attended by a lar ge number of guests\, including Dr. VV Rao\, Director\, ARDE\, Dr. Smitha Nayak\, a senior Defense scientist\, Mandar Khurjekar of IEEE Pune Section \, S. Deshmukh of Defense electronics Manufacturers Association (DEMA). Dr . Ajay Poddar\, Chair IEEE AP-S CAC\, and Chief Scientist\, Synergy Microw ave Corp.\, New Jersey interacted with attendees and IEEE Members\, and al so graced the occasion.
