DESCRIPTION:The winter event that occurred in February of 2021 was one of t
he costliest winter storms on records. The storm resulted in over 170 mill
ion Americans being placed under various winter weather alerts being issue
d by the National Weather Service in the United States across the country
and caused blackouts for over 9.9 million people in the U.S. and Mexico\,
most notably the 2021 Texas power crisis. The blackouts were the largest i
n the U.S. since the Northeast blackout of 2003.\n\nThis lunch and learn w
ith cover how the use of Dr. Grady’s Texas Synchrophasor Network (TSN) a
nd how the use of data\, oscillography\, etc. helped paint the picture and
explain the sequence of events that took place on the grid during the dur
ation of the storm.\n\nThis event will provide two (2) CEHs.\n\nSpeaker(s)
