 y has nearly 200 members and is in need of renewed local leadership.\n\nCh
 apters give SPS members the valuable opportunity to engage with fellow sig
 nal processing engineers and professionals at locally-curated events. Chap
 ters host technical talks\, meetings\, and social events to enable educati
 on\, collaboration\, and networking with fellow members and non-members al
 ike.\n\nWhat does a chapter officer do? Organize local meetings and joint 
 local meetings with the many San Diego chapters on the wide array of SPS-r
 elated topics. While we're awaiting more leadership\, the San Diego Chapte
 r of the Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society is partnering with us and 
 offering its meetings jointly. SPS actually has about 3 times as many memb
 ers\, so we should be able to take the lead soon.\n\nPlease respond to Kat
