DESCRIPTION:We develop a proof-of-concept IIoT solution to monitor overall
equipment effectiveness (OEE). OEE is a measurement of how well an industr
ial manufacturing process performs compared to its full potential. The rea
l-time measurement of OEE involves using field devices to collect machine
availability\, performance\, and quality data\, aggregate and analyze it.
For the completion of the project\, we have created an industrial environm
ent comprising a conveyor belt-drive system. Then\, we have used IR sensor
s to count the total number of manufactured faulty and healthy products. A
n edge device (a microcontroller) reads the data from sensors placed on th
e conveyor belt drive system\, from the collected data\, the OEE of the ma
chine is calculated. The edge device passes this data to the IIoT server c
loud\, which then displayed on the dashboard. The dashboard is also used t
o control the working of machine. The dashboard\, and ultimately the machi
ne’s OEE data\, is accessible over the network.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Indu
