 Communications Commission adopted the [Alaska Plan Order](https://www.fcc.
 gov/document/fcc-takes-steps-address-broadband-access-alaska)\, which free
 zes $1.5 billion in funding over ten years and allocates that money to mai
 ntain\, extend\, and upgrade broadband service across certain areas of Ala
 ska. Ultimately\, fifteen rate-of-return carriers and eight of their wirel
 ess affiliates elected the Plan.\n\nWe look forward to presentation from C
 hristine O&#39;Connor the Broadband Task Force and the broadband provisions of
  the Infrastructure\, Investment\, and Jobs Act which have superseded some
  provisions of the Alaska Broadband Plan.\n\nWe will also be recognizing o
