DESCRIPTION:Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme’s history.
It is a nation-building renewable energy project that will provide on-dema
nd energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. Snowy 2.0
will provide an additional 2\,000 megawatts of dispatchable\, on-demand ge
nerating capacity to the National Electricity Market.\n\nThis presentation
will go into some of the key electrical engineering features as outlined
below (and a little bit of mechanical) from two of the Project's most seni
or engineers. We will talk about actual engineering facts and figures and
some of the key technical challenges that will need to be overcome to buil
d this win-win project that will assist Australia in meeting its global co
mmitments on climate change.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Retired Engineers Group\n
