DESCRIPTION:The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Observatory (SKAO) radio frequ
ency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard d
efines different applicable emissions thresholds\, depending on where a pr
oduct is installed. This includes typical EMC testing like the IEC-61000-x
or MIL-STD-461\, up to the very stringent SKA telescope threshold levels.
\nAll equipment located at the telescope sites must comply to the SKA RFI/
EMC Standard telescope thresholds. Construction of the SKA in both South A
frica and Australia will require many EMC testing facilities to qualify ha
rdware systems or sub-systems manufactured across the world. It is importa
nt that all test facilities produce the same acceptable and comparable res
ults.\nThis presentation describes the minimum requirements to which a fac
ility must comply to be considered an SKAO accredited RFI/EMC test facilit
y\, and a test facility can be certified to a certain threshold level capa
bility. The presentation will furthermore touch on RFI qualification test
procedures to verify compliance of hardware systems or sub-systems to the
 SKA RFI/EMC Standard requirements.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Morteza Shahpari\n\
