DESCRIPTION:The sound of a vehicle is composed of several noise sources\, s
uch as drivetrain noise\, road noise\, and wind noise. The conventional ve
hicle’s interior sound is mainly dominated by drivetrain noise\, especia
lly the internal combustion engine (ICE). In the process of electrificatio
n\, the road noise generated through the rolling contact of tire threads a
nd roadway is becoming more prominent and even the primary noise source du
e to the elimination of ICE. Furthermore\, the road noise dictates the tra
ffic noise in the urban area. Thus\, there is a need to reduce road noise
further. In this talk\, we will discuss the generation mechanisms of road
noise and the associated measures for reduction purposes in the automotive
  industry\, focusing on the latest approach.\n\nSpeaker(s): Yutao Lan\, \n
