DESCRIPTION:This seminar presents protection of power transformers. It deta
 ils the reasons for transformer failures\, cost of the failures\, IEEE/IEC
  and CIGRE standards and guides on transformer protection. Specifically\, 
 it provides details on protection of transformers from internal faults\, t
 hrough faults and overexcitation conditions. Suggested settings for some o
 f the protection functions are also discussed.\n\nThe seminar also covers 
 transformer LTC control basics\, voltage reduction\, line drop compensatio
 n and transformer paralleling.\n\nSpeaker(s): Dr. Murty Yalla\, \n\nAgenda
 : \nThe seminar fee includes lunch\, refreshments and handouts. Non-member
 s joining IEEE within 30 days of the seminar will be rebated 50% of the IE
 EE registration charge.\n\nFour hours of instruction will be provided. If
