 me of IEEE day celebration is\n“Leveraging technology for better tomorro
 w”. IEEE BIT\, Bangalore Student Branch\nis celebrating the IEEE day to 
 raise the awareness about IEEE. The day commemorates\nthe anniversary of t
 he meeting in Philadelphia in 1884 when members of the American\nInstitute
  of Electrical Engineers\, one of IEEE’s predecessor societies\, gathere
 d for the\nfirst time to share technical ideas. This day is celebrated wor
 ldwide every year to\ncollaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a 
 better tomorrow. These celebrations\ncreate awareness among the student me
 mbers as well as give them an opportunity to\ninteract with experts and pr
 ofessionals.\nThe program started with a welcome address by DR. Jalaja S B
 ranch Counsellor student\nBranch BIT onto the stage. Then DR. Hemanth Kuma
 r and DR. Vijay Prakash Branch\nAdvisor IEEE Student Branch BIT\, was welc
 omed on to the stage. Then Lamp lighting\nceremony of the event takes plac
 e followed by addressing the chief guests. Then\nDR.Aswath.M.U. principal 
 BIT gave a brief introduction about IEEE and the activities\nconducted by 
 the student branch over the last few years. The celebrations ended with vo
 te\nof thanks by Execom members.\n\nThe celebration continued with stand-u
 p comedy as the first event by Sagar H B with\nan interactive session with
  the participants.\n\nThe 2nd event was trolling contest about engineering
  and many students participated in\nthis particular event and gifts were i
 ssued for the winners of the events. The 3rd event was\nBoard of creativit
 y where students participated in this event and gifts were issued for the\
 nwinners of the event. The celebrations ended with vote of thanks by Execo
 m members.\nThis formation was photographed and then all the audience were
