DESCRIPTION:On 28th September the event Codeathon was conducted at the alph
 a hall between 1.00 to 4.00 p.m. Students from both SEC and SIT and studen
 ts from the programming session had registered and participated in the eve
 nt. The coordinators of the events were heartfully dedicated and worked ha
 rd for the success of this event. The judges for the event was Prof.Ramya(
 CSE dept) from Sri Sairam Engineering College and Prof. Sudhagar(IT dept) 
 Sri Sairam Institute of Technology. The students in the event were evaluat
 ed based on certain criterias. Two problem statements would be provided an
 d the students were asked to work on any one problem statement. Students a
 ctively participated and showcased their talents in the event. The prizes 
 were awarded to the participants by our beloved principal Dr.K.PalaniKumar
  sir. The first prize was bagged by Sai Mahalakshmi from SEC 3rd year EIE 
 dept\, Kaviya from SEC 2nd year CSE dept \, Saptha Rishi from SEC CSE 2nd 
 year and Naren Kumar from SEC 2nd year CSE dept and they received a cash p
 rize of Rs.1000.The second prize was won by Praveen Kumar from SIT ECE 2nd
  year\, Dhilip from SIT ECE 2nd year\, Ganesh Kumar from SIT ECE 2nd year 
 and received a cash prize of Rs.750.The third prize was bagged by Manish f
 rom SEC ECE 2nd year \, Sapthagiri from SEC ECE 2nd year\, Lavin Kumar fro
 m SEC ECE 2nd year and Chiranjeevi from SEC ECE 2nd year. They received a 
 cash prize amount of Rs.500.Next the main part of the event took place .Th
 e new IEEE Student Branch members were introduced by the principal of Sri 
 Sairam Institute of Technology for the academic year 2022-2023.\n\nSri Sai
