DESCRIPTION:IEEE CIS Malaysia Chapter invites you to a Distinguished Lectur
e by Prof Dipankar Dasgupta from The University of Memphis.\nAdaptive Mult
 i-Factor Authentication and Cyber Identity\nWednesday\, 7th December 2022\
 n10 am – 12 pm\nThe Cubes\, Block A\, Faculty of Computer\nScience and I
 nformation Technology\,\nUniversity of Malaya\n*Light lunch is provided\nD
 r. Dipankar Dasgupta is a professor of Computer Science at the University
of Memphis since 1997\,\nan IEEE Fellow\, an ACM Distinguished Speaker (20
15-2020) and an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer\n(2022-2024). Dr. Dasgupta is
known for his pioneering work on the design and development of\nintelligen
t solutions inspired by natural and biological processes. During 1990-2000
\, he extensively\nstudied different AI/ML techniques and research in the
development of an efficient search and\noptimization method (called struct
ured genetic algorithm) has been applied in engineering design\,\nneural-n
etworks\, and control systems. He is one of the founding fathers of the fi
eld of artificial\nimmune systems (a.k.a Immunological Computation) and is
at the forefront of applying bioinspired\napproaches to cyber defense.\nH
is notable works in digital immunity\, negative authentication\, cloud ins
 urance modeling\, dual-filtering and adaptive\nmulti-factor authentication
demonstrated the effective use of various AI/ML algorithms. His research
accomplishments\nand achievements have appeared in Computer World Magazine
\, NASA’s website\, and in local TV Channels and\nNewspapers. Dr. Dasgup
ta has authored four books\, 5 patents (including 2 under submissions) and
have more than\n300 research publications (20\,000 citations as per googl
 e scholar) in book chapters\, journals\, and international\nconference pro
ceedings. Among many awards\, he was honored with the 2014 ACM-SIGEVO Impa
ct Award for his\nseminal work on negative authentication\, an AI-based ap
proach. He also received five best paper awards in different\ninternationa
l conferences and has been organizing IEEE Symposium on Computational Inte
lligence in Cyber Security\nat SSCI since 2007. Dr. Dasgupta is an ACM Dis
tinguished Speaker\, regularly serves as panelist and keynote speaker\nand
offer tutorials in leading computer science conferences and have given mo
re than 350 invited talks in different\nuniversities and industries.\n\nCo
