DESCRIPTION:Free Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/security-in-qua
 ntum-computing-era-tickets-514840380437\n\nSynopsis:\n\nThe amount of data
that is being generated\, stored\, communicated\, and analysed is increas
ing at an exponential rate. Securing this data while in storage (or) in co
mmunication (or) in the analysis is challenging. Emerging technologies mak
e this task much more challenging. Quantum computing is such an emerging t
echnology having large-scale computing capabilities and has the potential
to solve some of the problems that conventional computing principles can n
ot solve. With such potential\, it can adversely disrupt the current secur
ity frameworks and\, at the same time\, address some of the pressing probl
ems in security. This talk introduces threats and challenges in security d
ue to quantum computing\, addressing security challenges with quantum prin
ciples and developments in post-quantum cryptography.\n\nSpeaker(s): Dr As
