 ll host another tour of the Fairlane Estate (3rd one!) — [Home of Clara 
 and Henry Ford](http://www.henryfordfairlane.org/) — where Henry and Tho
 mas Edison built a hydropower plant on the Rouge River across the street f
 rom the University of Michigan Dearborn.\n\nThis is among the first reside
 ntial direct current hydropower microgrids ever built in the United States
 . To learn more about the history of this site\, check out the [Library of
  Congress webpage](https://www.loc.gov/item/mi0679/) on this. Our previous
  tour took place in September 2021\, and the event lasted approximately 4 
 hours — including transportation from and to pick-up and drop-off points
  (to be determined logistically). Lunch will be provided at 12 noon\, actu
 al tour is for 2 hours\, then return to University of Michigan-Dearborn ca
 mpus starting at 2 PM\; arriving at the original pick up points no later t
