DESCRIPTION:Regulating power transmission within the central locations of t
 he city\, the grid station is a conventional unit functioning one 132 kV o
 utdoor yard stepping down power to two indoor 11 kV yards to deliver power
  among KDA\, Jail Road\, Gulistan-e-Johar\, Aga Khan University Hospital e
 tc. This grid receives the necessary power to supply load centres via a to
 tal of 6 inbound transmission lines\, including a 220 kV line\, coming fro
 m other grids.\n\nThe enthusiastic undergraduates along with faculty noted
  AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) &amp; GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) installed
 . At the grid yard\, bus couplers are used to make &amp; break connections dur
 ing service or abnormality detected by relays. Furthermore\, circuit break
 ers undergo a breaker test to ensure that their contacts break simultaneou
 sly within a timeframe of 10 milliseconds to achieve total fault isolation
 .\n\nStudents were able to comprehend the off-load protection carried by i
 solators in the grid as well as the breakdown of K-Electric’s busbar sch
 eme. Reserved busbars along with main busbars were utilised to deliver pow
 er to priority loads whereas the load management is being governed at the 
 control office inside the 11kV yard. The demonstrators The line managers d
