DESCRIPTION:Hello IEEE – Computer Society Members\,\n\nWe are excited to
invite you to a virtual career panel hosted by [University of Washington P
rofessional and Continuing Education](https://www.pce.uw.edu/) (UW PCE) on
Thursday\, March 2nd from 5-6pm PST! This panel will feature members of t
he [Data Science](https://www.pce.uw.edu/certificates/data-science) and [M
achine Learning](https://www.pce.uw.edu/certificates/machine-learning) pro
grams’ joint advisory board.\n\nThe panelists will discuss skills needed
to get into or advance in the industry\, interviewing best practices\, te
chnical aspects of data scientists\, future of the career path\, and more.
They will also welcome questions from attendees.\n\nPanelists:\n\n- [Anis
h Mohan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/animohan/)\, Senior Manager - Solutio
n Architecture\, Data Science & Machine Learning @ NVIDIA Corp\n- Anish Mo
han leads a team building Data Science and Machine Learning Solutions with
key NVIDIA customers in the greater Seattle region. Before NVIDIA\, he wa
s at Microsoft’s AI Division\, working to develop and deploy AI and ML s
olutions.\n\n- [Eric Nichols](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericnichols/)\,
Staff Machine Learning Engineer @ Cruise\n- Eric Nichols has been working
in machine learning roles in the tech industry for the past decade. He rec
eived a Ph.D. in computer science and cognitive science at Indiana Univers
ity in 2012 for work in computer models of music cognition. After that he
worked at Google and then Microsoft in projects related to music and audio
understanding and generation with deep learning\, and led a home recommen
dations team at Zillow. Recently he moved to Cruise to work on deep learni
ng-based simulation for self-driving cars.\n\n- Janet Matsen\, Software En
gineer\, Machine Learning @ Benchling\n- Janet Matsen specializes in Machi
ne Learning for Biotechnology. She is currently at Benchling\, on a new ma
chine learning team that is figuring out how machine learning can make the
ir ~1100 customers more efficient. Previously she was at Zymergen\, develo
ping algorithms to design new organisms that can make valuable chemicals.\
