DESCRIPTION:The 10th International Conference on the Frontiers of Plasma Ph
ysics and Technology (FPPT-10) was organized jointly by the IEEE EDS Nepal
  Chapter\, Tribhuvan University\, Kirtipur\, Kathmandu University\, Dhulik
hel\, Nepal\, and many national and international Scientific Organizations
during 13-17 March 2023\, Kathmandu\, Nepal at two different venues: Hote
 l Mystic Mountain\, Nagarkot\, and Hotel Yak and Yeti\, Durbar Marg\, Kath
mandu\, Nepal. The EDS Nepal Chapter supported the conference both technic
ally as well as financially. The national organizing committee was led by
IEEE EDS Secretary Prof. Dr. Raju Khanal. This was the 10th conference in
the series of “International conference on the Frontiers of Plasma Physi
cs and Technology” and the series is being organized in different develo
ping countries to encourage a large number of local researchers to partici
pate in the conference. The earlier conferences were organized in differen
 t developing countries\, including India (Bangalore-2002\, Goa-2005)\, Tha
 iland (Bangkok-2007)\, Nepal (Kathmandu-2009)\, Singapore (2011)\, Botswan
a (Gaborone-2013)\, India (Kochi-2015)\, Chile (Viña del Mar-2017) and Sr
i Lanka (Negombo-2019). The success of the preceding conferences in severa
l countries in Asia\, Africa and Latin America has encouraged us to furthe
r our mission. This series is planned to provide a unique opportunity to t
he researchers to directly interact with the worldwide experts and acquain
t with the latest research topics. Researchers of all the nationalities we
re welcome to participate. The emphasis of the conference will be on all t
he frontier topics of plasma physics conferences and technologies and clas
sified in the following three tracks but not limited to: Astrophysical\, c
osmic and space plasmas.\n\nThe Conference was attended by 101 participant
s from 21 different countries out of which 60 were the local participants
with 11 IEEE members (from Nepal). The participants were from the followin
 g countries: Austria\, Canada\, Czech Republic\, France\, Germany\, Indone
 sia\, India\, Italy\, Israel\, Japan\, Nepal\, Norway\, PR of China\, Russ
 ia\, Slovenia\, Spain\, Thailand\, UAE\, and UK. The first day of program
was held on Hotel Mystic Mountain\, Nagarkot that was inaugurated by Dean
of Science and Technology\, Prof. Binil Aryal by lightning Panas (a tradit
ional lamp). In his address\, Prof. Aryal expressed the importance of plas
ma technology and its impact on our society. He also pointed out the impor
tance of astrophysical plasma to understand the beginning phase of univers
 e. Prof. Tara Desai (Chair and Director of FPPT-10) highlighted the object
ives of the Conference.\n\nAltogether 44 oral talks and 35 posters were pr
esented during 13 Scientific Sessions and 1 poster session. The research p
apers presented were from various fields of plasma physics: laser plasma i
nteraction\, tokamaks and other magnetic confinement fusion devices\, theo
ry (from astrophysics to laboratory plasma)\, heavy ion beams in fundament
al material study and inertial confinement fusion\, nano Science and relat
ed topics\, plasma jets and applications\, wires explosions studies and ap
plications\, plasma surface interaction\, sheath physics\, etc. In the 3rd
day of conference\, we arranged a popular talk in the Central Department
of Physics\, Tribhuvan University and also made excursion of historic plac
es of Kirtipur. At the evening of that day\, we arranged a cultural progra
m with dinner at the venue of Nepal Tourism Board\, Kathmandu\, Nepal. All
the 35 posters drew attention from the distinguished experts of various f
ields. Ample time was allotted for poster session especially to encourage
young researchers by providing them with platform to present their work. T
he success of the session was also obvious from the fact that most of the
presenters were busy explaining their works even hours after the official
time for poster session was over. In order to motivate young researchers t
owards the poster session two “Best Poster Awards” were announced. In
addition\, one best oral presentation was announced.\n\nThe Conference was
a success from different points of view. It was for the 2nd time that suc
h a large number of high sounding international personalities attended the
Conference in Nepal. It offered a unique opportunity to the Nepali resear
chers to directly interact with the internationally distinguished scientis
ts. In addition\, some of the local participants were successful in establ
ishing first hand contact with some of the leading centers of plasma physi
cs and to find research areas of mutual interest. Some photographs during
