On the basis of previous membership details students were classified into three groups\, a)Already an IEEE PES Member or Past Member\n\n- b) Al ready an IEEE Member but Not PES Member\n- c) Not an IEEE Student Member y et\n\nFor the first category\, students could renew their membership for 1 dollar.\n\nFor the second and third category\, students could claim membe rship for free.\n\nAccordingly different referral codes were given.\n\nThr ough this initiative organizers were able to increase the number of PES me mbers of our college and ensure a greater participation.
