DESCRIPTION:The session began with a quick review of the previous session a
nd solving some installation issues to ensure that all attendees had insta
lled the necessary programs (Atmel & Proteus). There were two instructors
who covered the following topics: an overview of the Atmega328p microcontr
oller we are using\, how to get the port addresses from the datasheet\, DI
O output\, delay\, and LEDs\, and DIO input and pushbuttons. After each to
pic\, attendees were given hands-on practice on their laptops\, creating a
blinking LED and controlling an LED with a switch. As most of them were w
orking with Proteus simulation software for the first time\, there were ma
ny errors\, but the instructors and head of the session were on hand to pr
ovide technical assistance. The feedback was positive\, with attendees exc
ited to have two instructors\, one of whom works at Valeo and the other wh
o is working on a graduation project involving ARM\n\nSpeaker(s): Ahmed Wa
