DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION\n\nFirst Video Release and Orientation Thurs
day\, July 20\, 2023 - 6:00PM - 6:30PM. Additional videos released weekly
in advance of that week's live session!\n\nLive Workshops: 6:00PM - 7:30PM
 - Thursdays\, July 27\, August 3\, 10\, 17\, 24.\n\nNew Format Combining
Live Workshops with Pre-recorded Video\n\nThis is a hands-on course provid
ing pre-recorded lectures that students can watch on their own schedule an
d an unlimited number of times prior to live Q&A/Workshop sessions with th
e instructor. Ten 1.5 hour videos released 2 per week while the course is
in session will be available for up to two months after the conclusion of
the course.\n\nCourse Summary\n\nThis course is a fresh view of the fundam
ental and practical concepts of digital signal processing applicable to th
e design of mixed signal design with A/D conversion\, digital filters\, op
erations with the FFT\, and multi-rate signal processing. This course will
build an intuitive understanding of the underlying mathematics through th
e use of graphics\, visual demonstrations\, and applications in GPS and mi
xed signal (analog/digital) modern transceivers. This course is applicable
to DSP algorithm development with a focus on meeting practical hardware d
evelopment challenges in both the analog and digital domains\, and not a t
utorial on working with specific DSP processor hardware.\n\nAttendees will
have access to the recorded session and exercises for two months (until S
eptember 20\, 2023) after the live session ends!\n\nTarget Audience:\n\nAl
l engineers involved in or interested in signal processing applications. E
ngineers with significant experience with DSP will also appreciate this op
portunity for an in-depth review of the fundamental DSP concepts from a di
fferent perspective than that given in a traditional introductory DSP cour
se.\n\nBenefits of Attending/ Goals of Course:\n\nAttendees will build a s
tronger intuitive understanding of the fundamental signal processing conce
pts involved with digital filtering and mixed signal analog and digital de
sign. With this\, attendees will be able to implement more creative and ef
ficient signal processing architectures in both the analog and digital dom
ains. The knowledge gained from this course will have immediate practical
value for any work in the signal processing field.\n\nSpeaker(s): Dan Bosc
