DESCRIPTION:IEEE Maker & Science Showcase (IEEE MaSS) is a national event t
 o promote science\, technology\, engineering and volunteerism to the commu
 nity in East Malaysia. This event organization is aimed to combine with ST
 EM Playground as the annual event to be held in the northern region of Sar
 awak. This year\, IEEE MaSS in conjunction with STEM Playground will be or
 ganized at the Rec Hall of Curtin University Malaysia Campus on 14th-17th 
 September. The theme is “Innovating the Future through Science and Techn
 ology”.\n\nIEEE MaSS aims to create an innovative and interactive scienc
 e and technology platform in northern regions of Sarawak for students from
  primary and secondary schools. The objective of the exhibition is to spar
 k students’ curiosity and interest towards the exploration of science an
 d technology via interactive sciences demonstration and engineering techno
 logy showcase. It targets to raise the awareness of the youths and public 
 communities about the future trend and the importance of programming in cr
 eating future thinkers and makers. In addition\, IEEE MaSS also provides a
  platform to stimulate the volunteerism among students to reach out the co
 mmunities by solving real-life problems with technologies.\n\nIn the exhib
 ition\, the venue will be classified into three zones\, i.e. (1) STEM Chal
 lenge Zone\, (2) STEM hide-out zone and (3) Humanitarian interactive zone.
  STEM challenge zone convers programs such as Chumbaka Young Innovators Ch
 allenge (CYIC)\, IEEE Science Challenge and other challenges. STEM hide-ou
 t zone covers programs such as Tech Maker\, STEM playground\, IEEE/Univers
 ity/Industrial project showcase\, and Science & Technology Museum. Humanit
 arian interactive zone is a corner provided to NGO and public for their sh
 owcase involving art and science gallery\, Light Up Borneo/ Light Up Miri\
