DESCRIPTION:Amateur radio operators build and operate radio equipment
including communicating via satellites. Very few of them develop the
ir own software\, the majority build and operate hardware. Amateur radio s
oftware is used in conjunction with hardware for RTTY contests\, digital
communication modems\, satellite orbit predictions and many other
applications. This talk describes some achievements\, anecdotes and le
ssons learned by developing a variety of software for amateur radio and hi
ghlights differences between professional and amateur software development
