DESCRIPTION:Webinar “Electric Vehicles and Charging Infrastructure”\n\n
Monday 15 May 2023 at 3:00 PM EEST\, 2:00 PM CET\, 8:00 AM ET\n\nby Andrei
 Blinov\, Oleksandr Husev\, Parham Mohseni\, Mohammad Mahad Nadeem\, Oskar
Kreft\, Juhan Härm\n\nRegister now using the link below:\n\nhttps://atte
ndee.gotowebinar.com/register/7683074325004309078\n\nAbstract:\n\nRestrict
ions on fossil fuels and related environmental pollution issues motivate m
any organizations and countries to set their focus on electric vehicles (E
Vs) rather than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. The EV m
arket and fleet growth create continuously increasing demand for available
charging infrastructure. To improve user experience\, modern vehicles ten
d to have increased battery pack voltages that allow for faster charging r
ates. In the case of dc charging\, this results in the need for charging c
onverters that can cover wide range of voltage in order to be compatible w
ith both older and forthcoming vehicles. Simultaneously to EV fleet growth
and associated increase in electricity demand\, challenges related to the
power grid stability need to be considered and addressed. Moreover\, prol
iferation of renewable energy technologies increased the attractiveness on
dc grid technology and universal ac/dc – supplied solutions are needed
to address this trend.\n\nThis seminar is devoted to the state of art over
view of charging infrastructure for electric vehicle including market and
infrastructure\, battery technologies\, novel power electronic solutions a
nd industrial examples from Estonia and Poland. The agenda of the webinar
is as follows:\n\n14:00 Andrei Blinov. Introduction: EV market and infrast
ructure (10 min)\n\n14:10 Parham Mohseni. State of art overview of battery
packs technologies for EV (15 min)\n\n14:25 Mohammad Mahad Nadeem. Overvi
ew of the wide range power electronics chargers for EV (15 min)\n\n14:40 O
leksandr Husev. Concept of universal battery onboard/opportunity chargers
for EV (15 min)\n\n14:55 Andrei Blinov. Single-stage electric vehicle DC c
harging concepts (15 min)\n\n15:10 Juhan Härm (Vool). State of the EU ele
ctric vehicle supply equipment market (20 min)\n\n15:30 Oskar Kreft (AREX)
. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure as a part of the electricity ma
nagement system (20 min)\n\n15:50 Q&A and discussion\n\nPresenters’ bio:
