DESCRIPTION:University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Electrical Engi
 neering students participated in the IEEE Region 5 Student Robotics Compet
 ition April 21 - 23\, 2023 in Denver\, CO. This year\, the competition enc
 ouraged cooperative behaviors between a ground robot and a small drone. Wo
 rking together\, the flying drone and ground robot had to communicate/nego
 tiate autonomasly through a series of obstacles. The project also served a
 s their two semester senior design project under the guidance and mentorsh
 ip of UL Professor Dr. Paul Darby\, P.E.\n\nThis month's presentation will
  consist of the UL Robotics Competition Team presenting their robot to our
  IEEE Lafayette Section. We will hear about the challenges the students ha
 d to overcome through their design\, as well as how they had to exercise o
 n-the-fly problem solving skills throughout the competition.\n\nWe are exc
 ited to have our first evening presentation event in some time. Meet us at
  Pete's On Johnston the evening of June 7th. We will be in the back right 
 corner area of the restaurant. This will be an awesome presentation and ho
