DESCRIPTION:Purpose:\n\nGlobal standardization drives the Digital Society\;
  IEEE SA is the largest SDO (Standards Development Organization) and produ
 ces many standards for industries.\n\nDSA\, in cooperation with IEEE-SA\, 
 has established the IEEE P3800 Data Trading System WG starting in 2020.\nI
 n conjunction with this work\, we have also held roundtable discussions wi
 th major stakeholders of data federations worldwide. At the G7 Digital Tec
 hnology Ministerial Meeting\, we compiled and presented recommendations fo
 r realizing the DFFT.\n\nThe digital society is not dependent on a specifi
 c sector but requires the public\, industry\, and academia sectors to work
  together.\nInternational standardization is a source of industrial compet
 itiveness\, and proposals to strategically engage in international standar
 dization activities in Japan have been submitted to the government\, mainl
 y by Liberal Democratic Party.\n\nAgainst this background\, we are holding
  this roundtable to promote mutual understanding between IEEE SA and relat
 ed ministries and agencies involved in promoting standardization activitie
