DESCRIPTION:The Institution of Engineers of Kenya\, North Eastern Branch  a
 nd EEE PES Kenya is inviting you to join us for the launch of the Donate A
  Pipe - CSR Project in Isiolo on Monday\, 10th July 2023. To mark World En
 vironmental Day 2023\, members donated generously for this initiative.\n\n

 which depend on a single borehole. Water pipes will ease the pressure of t
 hem crowding at a single water source. The crowding at this water point cr
 eated conflict amongst villagers. However\, we have engaged with the elder
 s and things are calm as we seek to find a sustainable solution. Through t
 his\, we also aim at educating the villagers to take up crop farming\, tre
 e planting and peace. This will help at improving food stability and nutri
 ents for the families. We are also planing to educate the villagers on mat
 ters irrigation and tree planting. The projects addresses several UN SDGs.
 \n\nThe partners for this project include: The IEK North Eastern Branch\, 
 The IEK\, IEEE PES Kenya\, Doshi Group of Companies\, Davis &amp; Shirtliff\, 
 KeNHA\, AIC Hope Mashinani School\, Hayili Africa\, KPLC\, MID-P\, Action 
 Aid\, ACDI\, IEEE SIGHT Kenya\, KURA and of course the local community mem
 bers and the county governnent.\n\nThe engineering fraternity for the IEK 
 led by IEK North Eastern members\, did a fund raising campaign that saw it
 &#39;s members raise the funds to support this CSR initiative. The team also m
 anaged to rally members who are ready and willing to be on site on the imp
 lementaton date.\n\nVolunteers from IEEE PES Kenya and IEEE SIGHT Kenya he
 lped support the research process and will also be volunteering alongside 
 the IEK members to ensure the success of this great initiative.\n\nThe Ins
 titution of Engineers of Kenya and IEEE Kenya have been working side by si
 de and are currenlty working on an MoU to work hand in hand for the best p
 latform for our engineering fraternity.\n\nCo-sponsored by: IEK North East

 hool \n\nAgenda: \n1. For those in Nairobi\, we shall travel to Isiolo on 
 Sunday 9th July 2023 and spend Sunday night in Isiolo.\n\n2. Please note m
 embers who wish to attend will need to cater for their own logistics cost 
 (Public Transport to and fro Isiolo is KES 2\,600)\n\n3. The Pipes and acc
 essories will be procured and shipped to site by 10th July..\n\n4. The ins
 talltion and commissioning of the project will be on Monday\, 10th July 20
 23 from 8am to 4pm.\n\n5. The convergence point for the Project will be at
  AIC Mashambani Hope Primary School in Mashambani Area in Isiolo&#39;s Bula Pe
 sa Ward.\n\n6. We shall also have a Tree Planting session once the pipes i
