 ET) Student Chapter organized a technical seminar titled as “Unlocking t
 he Future: Exploring The Enchanting Possibilities Of 6G”. This talk was 
 delivered by Dr. Kapal Dev\, on July 18\, 2023\, at the Video Conference H
 all\, IICT Building\, MUET Jamshoro Pakistan. The seminar was co-funded by
  Distinguish Speaker Program\, IEEE ComSoc\, USA.\n\nThe total number of p
 articipants in this seminar were 63 in which 50 were IEEE members and 13 w
 ere non-IEEE members. The event started with the recitation of Holy Quran 
 followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan. Afterwards\, Dr. Umair Ahmed 
 Korai\, Vice Chair IEEE ComSoc Karachi Chapter\, welcomed the Chief Guest\
 , Guest of Honors\, Speaker\, volunteers\, and participants of the seminar
 . Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Memon\, DEAN Faculty of Electrical Electronics and
  Computer Engineering attended the talk as a Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Fai
 sal Karim Shaikh\, Professor and Ex Chairman\, Department of Telecommunica
 tion Engineering attended this seminar as a Guest of Honor. The seminar fo
 cused on Exploring The Enchanting Possibilities Of 6G. Following members h

 st session of the talk was delivered by Dr. Kapal Dev is currently serving
  as Assistant Lecturer at Department of Computer Science\, Munster Technol
 ogical University\, Ireland. He formerly was a senior researcher at the sa
 me University. Previously\, severed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with
  the CONNECT Centre\, School of Computer Science and Statistics\, Trinity 
 College Dublin (TCD). Also\, worked as 5G Junior Consultant and Engineer a
 t Altran Italia S.p.A\, Milan\, Italy on 5G use cases.\n\nHis talk started
  from\n\nIntroduction\n\nThe advent of the sixth generation of wireless te
 chnology\, 6G\, promises a future that surpasses our wildest imaginations.
  Dr. Kapal Dev\, a renowned expert in the field\, delivered a captivating 
 presentation on the potential of 6G and the transformative possibilities i
 t holds.\n\nThe key topics covered in Dr. Dev&#39;s talk:\n\nRoadmap to 6G\n\n
 Dr. Dev outlined the roadmap towards 6G\, highlighting the need for seamle
 ss connectivity\, ultra-high data rates\, and ultra-low latency. The trans
 ition from 5G to 6G involves significant advancements in network infrastru
 cture\, including the deployment of advanced antenna systems\, millimeter-
 wave communication\, and intelligent edge computing.\n\nExpected Timeline 
 of 6G Development\, Standardization\, and Launch\n\nWhile the exact timeli
 ne for 6G development and standardization remains uncertain\, Dr. Dev disc
 ussed the anticipated timeline based on ongoing research and industry tren
 ds. He highlighted that the standardization process for 6G is expected to 
 begin in the early 2020s\, with commercial deployments projected for the l
 ate 2020s or early 2030s.\n\nEmerging 6G Applications\n\nDr. Dev discussed
  the exciting applications that 6G will enable\, including:\n\n- Smart Cit
 ies: 6G will revolutionize urban living\, enabling smart transportation sy
 stems\, intelligent energy grids\, and advanced healthcare services.\n- In
 dustry 4.0: 6G will empower industrial automation\, robotics\, and real-ti
 me monitoring\, enhancing productivity and efficiency in manufacturing and
  logistics.\n- Extended Reality (XR): With ultra-low latency and ultra-hig
 h bandwidth\, 6G will enable seamless XR experiences\, transforming gaming
 \, entertainment\, and remote collaboration.\n\nInternet of Skills: 6G wil
 l enable the transmission of skills and expertise remotely\, opening up ne
 w possibilities in telemedicine\, remote surgery\, and remote training.\n\
 n6G Enabling Technologies\n\nDr. Dev discussed the enabling technologies t
 hat will underpin the development of 6G\, such as:\n\n- Terahertz (THz) Co
 mmunication:\n- AI-driven Networks:\n- Quantum Communication:\n\n6G Projec
 ts and Research Activities\n\nDr. Dev highlighted ongoing 6G research proj
 ects and initiatives worldwide. These collaborative efforts involve academ
