DESCRIPTION:As we enter the new year\, technology and engineering have been
  growing at a rapid rate\, and with that comes the dire need for one to be
  constantly updated with the advancements. The IEEE Student Branch of Sri 
 Sairam Institute of Technology organized the IEEE Awareness Talk in an eff
 ort to spread awareness on IEEE\, it’s significance in the field of engi
 neering and technology and how students\, professionals can use this platf
 orm to advance their career. The guest speaker for this event was Mr Mithr
 esh G P\, a member of the IEEE Membership Development Committee and the IE
 EE Madras Section. The meeting started at 6:30pm\, with a welcome address 
 from Dr Saritha G\, the IEEE SIT SB Counselor and Vinish S\, the IEEE SB S
 IT Chairman. The speaker was presented with a memento to honor his presenc
 e\, and thus began the meeting. Afterwards\, the speaker discussed about I
 EEE\, narrated it’s history\, the various societies that one could enrol
 l in\, the awards and the benefits that come with the membership. The atte
 ndees actively participated and asked doubts each step of the way. This pr
 oceeded with a vote of thanks from Karthik Maharaja A V\, the IEEE SB SIT
