DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Student Branch of Sri Sai Ram Institute Of Technology 
 hosted an orientation session on exploring the funding opportunities in th
 e various IEEE Societies and communities\, so that the various student mem
 bers could learnt about the wide array of funding opportunities available 
 in IEEE for them to bring their projects to fruition. The event started wi
 th an inaugural address by Dr. Saritha G\, IEEE SB Counselor\, followed wh
 ich the session started in full swing. The session started with a talk by 
 Dr. R.Azhagumurugan\, HOD\, EEE\, at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College on th
 e various societies and communities in IEEE\, with a detailed explanation 
 on each technical society. Dr. Soma Prathibha\, organiser\, Sairam IEEE\, 
 then proceeded to explain the kind of projects that would be considered el
 igible for funding by the IEEE.\n\nIt was followed by an interactive sessi
 on wherein the resource people interacted with the students about the vari
 ous projects that were being undertaken\, and about how to approach and im
 prove upon the same. Dr. S. Brindha\, Captain of Sairam IEEE\, and the cha
 ir of SAC IEE Madras Section then proceeded to give a detailed presentatio
 n about the process involved in getting funding from the various IEEE comm
 unities\, right from the start till the very end. Various important aspect
 s such as filing a report\, publishing a paper\, etc were discussed in ord
 er to improve upon the students’ understanding of the various possibilit
 ies and pathways available to them.\n\nThe resource people were then prese
 nted with mementos as a token of gratitude. The event ended on a high note
  with a vote of thanks by IEEE SV Vice Chairman Kathik Maharaja AV.\n\nSpe
