  Risk Management is and different levels of “Lean” from an inadvisable
  ‘back of the envelope’ treatment to a fully detailed and comprehensiv
 e treatment. This includes the major drivers that promote a ‘Lean’ tre
 atment. Levels of Lean are identified via Proportional Risk Management wit
 h the criteria for making a selection. Agile values are discussed and are 
 shown how they apply to risk management and how they increase program valu
 e to the Stakeholders. Finally\, a criteria that defines Program Success i
 s presented and shown how it is derived from Lean and Agile applications.\
 n\nMike Helton is a senior Risk Management consultant and has practiced Ri
 sk Management for over 17 years on very large to very small programs and p
 rojects. These included the Air Traffic Control DSR Program\, an NSA Proce
 ss Improvement Program and many smaller group projects within larger progr
 ams such as various groups within NASA’s Landsat Program. He was the ins
 tructor for the Risk Management Process for the National Security Administ
 ration where he trained over 350 NSA professionals on Risk Management. Thi
 s included tailoring aspects of industry standard risk management processe
 s documented by the PMBOK\, SEI Carnegie Mellon Institute and several othe
 r sources of risk management to fit various kinds of programs and projects
 . His prior endeavors included integration manager on a key stage of the N
 ASA’s International Space Station\, integration manager on a commercial 
 satellite communications system for the American Satellite Company and mis
 sion &amp; science sequence design engineer on various interplanetary space mi
 ssions at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.\n\nThe presenters will be at MITR
