DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Student Branch at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College 
 (SREC) hosted a magnificent celebration of IEEE Day on 9th October 2023\, 
 at the Library AC Seminar Hall. The event was graced by Dr.N.R.Alamelu\, t
 he esteemed Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and Ex-Chairp
 erson of IEEE Madras Section. Dr.N.R.Alamelu\, a distinguished personality
  in the world of IEEE\, was acknowledged for her outstanding contributions
  to the IEEE Madras Section\, a recognition that culminated in a Lifetime 
 Achievement Award from the same section. The event began with delivering a
 n inspiring chief guest speech. She urged the students to actively partici
 pate in various activities within the IEEE Student Branch and to work coll
 ectively to elevate the college's IEEE student branch to an international 
 level and emphasized the importance of students forming groups to engage i
 n engineering projects and foster their personal development. She also sha
 red her valuable experiences as an IEEE member during her tenure in the IE
 EE Madras Section. A significant highlight of the event was the recognitio
 n of senior staff members from various departments of SREC who had made su
 bstantial contributions to the IEEE community. The chief guest presented a
 wards to these dedicated individuals\, acknowledging their efforts and com
 mitment. The Chairperson of IEEE Student Branch at SREC\, Mr. S. Swasthik 
 Venkatesh\, a fourth-year student pursuing Electrical and Electronics Engi
 neering\, added an element of celebration by cutting a cake. This moment w
 as cherished as Mr. Venkatesh celebrated with his fellow IEEE members. The
  IEEE Day celebrations concluded with a joyful photo session\, capturing t
 he memorable moments and the spirit of the event. In the final part of the
  event\, Dr.K.Balamurugan\, Associate Professor from the Electrical and El
 ectronics Engineering Department\, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the s
 tudents for their pivotal role in making the event a resounding success. H
 e also extended his appreciation to the office bearers for their invaluabl
 e cooperation. The IEEE Day celebration at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering Col
