DESCRIPTION:Modern Aspects of Electrical Machine Condition Monitoring & Fau
lt Diagnostics\nThursday\, 2 November · 2:00 – 3:30pm\nTime zone: Europ

om/rcr-zxzg-hux\n\nElectrical machines are key devices in power generation
and conversion in industrial\, transportation\, renewable energy\, and ma
ny others. During operation\, they are subjected to a variety of stresses
which may lead to faults. If undetected\, early-stage faults can evolve in
to failures inflicting high cost\, interruption of industrial processes\,
delays\, as well as compromise of safety. Therefore\, reliable condition m
onitoring\, fault diagnostics\, and prognostics must be in place to preven
t unprecedented machine breakdowns. This seminar will introduce the variou
s types of faults and failures in induction and synchronous machines and d
emonstrate some of the state-of-the-art solutions in the field of conditio
n monitoring and fault diagnostics.\n\nCo-sponsored by: EEE Department\, U
