DESCRIPTION:The preliminary rounds of IEEE day PES quiz 2023 was organised 
 all over Kerala by IEEE PES Kerala Chapter in association with IEEE Kerala
  section.Around 33 Colleges participated in the first round organised at t
 he colleges.IEEE day PES quiz is organised by PES in assocaition with IEEE
  kerala section for first year students of engineering colleges all over k
 erala to get familarised with IEEE one of the largest Professional and tec
 hnical organistaion in the world.This is conducted on October third which 
 is IEEE day.\n\nThe procedure to conduct the quiz was finalised based on g
 uidance recieved from Prof Mohammed Kasim\,chair IEEE Kerala section and w
 as implemented.In the preliminary round 30 questions is to be answered in 
 thirty minutes by the students.The questions for the preliminary round was
  prepared by Chair Dr Ajith Gopi\,past Chair Er Suhair A K\,Vice chairs Dr
  Sobha Manakkal\,Dr Boby philip and Secretary Er Hari Kumar Kp.\n\nThe fir
 st \,second and third runnerup from the colleges in the preliminary round 
 is qualified to attend the finals which is scheduled to be conducted on no
 vember 4th 2023.The preliminary round was attended by around 1800 students
  from the various engineering colleges and was a grand success.For this th
 e support of IEEE student councillors\,IEEE SB chairs\,PES SB advisors was
  recieved from the colleges.Two online meetings was conducted before the f
 irst rounds to discuss the modalities for smooth conduct of the quiz.The f
 inals will be having two rounds .The winners from the second rounds will b
 e eligible to attend the finals.Certificate of participation will be given
  to all finalists and an amount of Rs 5000 to the first prize winner\,Rs 3
 000\, Rs 2000 to second and third prize winners.The IEEE day PES quiz 2023
  is the 14th edition conducted by PES Kerala chapter and is the combined e
 ffort of IEEE Kerala section and PES Kerala Chapter.\n\nCo-sponsored by: I
