DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW\n\nThe GlobalEM 2024 Symposium is unique in that it br
 ings together international experts in high-power electromagnetics. This S
 ymposium started as a small gathering organized on Kirtland Air Force Base
  in Albuquerque\, New Mexico\, by the late Dr. Carl Baum as the first Nucl
 ear EMP (electromagnetic pulse) Meeting (NEM) in 1973. Since 1978\, the SU
 MMA Foundation\, a non-profit organization\, has sponsored the Symposium. 
 In 1994\, the Symposium was held in Bordeaux\, France\, as EUROEM and subs
 equently rotated between Europe and North America as EUROEM and AMEREM\, r
 espectively. In 2015\, the Symposium was organized in Jeju\, South Korea\,
  as ASIAEM. Beginning in 2022\, the series was renamed GlobalEM and will c
 ontinue to rotate annually among North America\, Europe\, and Asia.\n\nGlo
 balEM 2024 includes social/networking events\, invited speakers\, numerous
  technical papers\, an exhibition\, and a technical tour! AT&amp;T Conference 
 Center is ideally located in downtown Austin\, near the University of Texa
 s at Austin campus\, restaurants and shops\, as well as Austin-Bergstrom I
 nternational Airport. A block of guest rooms have been reserved at the AT&amp;
 T Conference Center at a discounted group rate.\n\nGENERAL INFORMATION\n\n
 This Symposium is organized by the SUMMA Foundation. The working language 
 of the Symposium is English. There will be a technical exhibition during t
 he week\, a Welcome Reception on the evening of Sunday\, 14 July\, a Gala
