DESCRIPTION:Embarked on a captivating journey into the cosmos\, the unveili
ng of the wonders of space through an engaging exhibition featuring a pico
satellite took place at the IEEE stall of the Open Day event at the Univer
sity of Peradeniya. This interactive showcase invited students to delve in
to the world of small-scale satellite technology. Attendees gained insight
s into the design and components of Pico satellites\, exploring the intric
acies of satellite engineering\, from solar panels to communication system
s. The exhibition shed light on the specific mission objectives of the sho
wcased satellite\, whether it be Earth observation\, scientific research\,
or technology demonstration. Students engaged in hands-on activities that
simulated the challenges faced by satellite engineers\, providing a first
hand experience of assembling model satellites. The exhibition also featur
ed real-life success stories of picosatellite missions\, and attendees par
ticipated in a Q&A session with the presenters. This event served as not o
nly an educational opportunity but also a chance for students to network w
ith the engineering undergraduates of the University of Peradeniya\, foste
ring a deeper understanding of space technology and inspiring the next gen
eration of aerospace enthusiasts. It was a unique chance to unlock the sec
rets of the cosmos through the lens of Pico satellites.\n\nBldg: Senate Bu
