 \nThe power plant was started in 1896. In 1975 the Resource Recovery Plant
  was completed and the utility began burning Refuse Derived Fuel as a supp
 lemental fuel source. They are now in the process of converting from coal 
 to natural gas including control room expansion\, new DCS and new turbine 
 control. We will have the opportunity to &quot;walk the turbine floor&quot;.\n\nIf y
 ou can\, please join us for dinner at Olde Main Brewing on Main Street in 
 Ames immediately after the tour. Each person will order from the menu and 
 will be responsible for the cost of their own meal.\n\nFuture IEEE Central
