DESCRIPTION:IEEE PES Bangalore Chapter in collaboration with BMSCE IEEE PES
  and Sensors Council conducted the flagship event IEEE PES Student Congres
 s 2023 on 2nd December 2023 which was held at the premises of BMS College 
 of Engineering. The theme of the Student Congress was “Moving Towards Ne
 t Zero Energy Transition”. 40+ participants from various colleges of Kar
 nataka attended the Student Congress and participated actively in all the 
 various activities that were planned for them.\n\nThe Student Congress was
  inaugurated at 10:45am with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Ch
 andrashekhar Atla\, Dr. Chandasree Das\, Dr. Nethravthi S\, and the Execom
  Members of BMSCE IEEE PES and SC and it was hosted by Ramya Sheshadri and
  Hari Charan. Following the inauguration\, the dignitaries addressed the g
 athering\, and a tea break was held afterward.\n\nRight after the tea brea
 k\, a panel discussion took place on the theme “Net Zero Energy Transiti
 on”. The panelists included Dr. Chandrashekhar Atla\, Mr. Praveen A N fr
 om Hitachi Energy India Limited\, Mr. Shamanth Gowda T\, Associate Profess
 or in the Department of Civil Engineering at BMSCE and Dr Pradeepa who is 
 a Professor in the Department of EEE at BMSCE. The panelists shared their 
 valuable insights regarding the new trends in the energy transition activi
 ties taking place in industries and researches going in the domain. The pa
 nel discussion concluded at 1:00 PM and was followed by the lunch break.\n
 \nFollowing the lunch break\, a general quiz on Green Energy was conducted
 \, captivating participants and ensuring their awareness of current affair
 s within the Energy domain. After the quiz\, IdeaForge\, an interactive id
 eathon\, took place which was a collaboration event of PES Student Chapter
 s from BMSCE\, UVCE and DSCE. All of the participants were divided into te
 ams of 4 and a common problem statement was given to them. Every team was 
 given a timeframe of 15 minutes to ideate and come up with innovative idea
 s to tackle the problem with different perspectives.\n\nWinners of Quiz an
 d IdeaForge were announced after every team was finished presenting the pr
 oposals and prizes were distributed.\n\nUpon the announcement of the winne
 rs\, Priyanshu Kumar Chaudhary delivered the vote of thanks\, which led to
  a high tea session. A group photo was taken with all the participants\, d
 ignitaries and Execom Members to mark the end of Student Congress 2023. Ov
 erall\, the Student Congress was a success\, with participants getting an
