DESCRIPTION:IEEE WNC Section is sponsoring a Robot Face-Off pre-competition
  between UNC-A and WCU this year again about 30 days before the actual com
 petition at IEEE Region 3&#39;s SouthEastCon 2024 in Atlanta Georgia. This wil
 l afford the Student Sections the chance to finalize their designs and com
 pete against a real opponent before setting off to Atlanta to gain fame an
 d glory for WNC and their schools in the official competition.\n\nCompetit
 ion Theme: The year is 2047. Humanity has established a planetary defense 
 system called GRID to protect Earth from potential threats in space. The s
 ystem is highly advanced and has thwarted numerous dangers over the years.
  However\, a catastrophic event has occurred\, shattering the calm. A come
 t named 2047-5-L1 has collided with the V-X7 exploration craft\, causing a
  massive release of asteroids. The asteroids are headed straight for Earth
 \, and the consequences of an impact would be catastrophic. GRID is the on
 ly hope of salvation for the planet\, but it needs crucial components to d
 elivered and assembled to activate its active protection systems.\n\nFirst
 \, your team must aquire and deliver the packages containing the component
 s needed to the control station. Afterward\, your team must pick up the ro
 cket thruster fuel tanks and bring them to the Launch Pad. Then various as
 sembly tasks need to be accomplished. Only with all these taks completed i
 s the system activated and then it is possible to deflect the asteroids aw
 ay from Earth\, saving the planet from complete destruction. To accomplish
  to goal\, you must deliver the packages to the correct location\, pick up
  the thruster tanks and deliver them to the launch pad as quickly as possi
 ble (within 90 secs). Earth will hail you as heroes and forever remember y
 our bravery and sacrifice. With your help\, humanity knows they can always
  count on GRID to protect them from any danger lurking in space!\n\nPoints
