DESCRIPTION:John Ockenfels and Peter Teahen’s Flight to End Polio took th
 ree months to circumnavigate the globe. Getting their single engine Cessna
  210 off the ground took three years.\n\nIn our April 2023 Tech Talk\, Joh
 n Ockenfels and Peter Teahen gave a presentation on the preparations for t
 he flight. In this month’s Tech Talk\, they will give a presentation on 
 the three-month trip to circumnavigate the globe.\n\nOn 30 July\, after tr
 aveling about 26\,000 miles\, Teahen and Ockenfels landed safely at the Ea
 stern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids. Along the course of their flight\, the
 y had participated in 24 fundraisers (the money raised there has yet to be
