 ence\n\nAbstract: This talk presents a novel multivariate definition of st
 atistical dependence using a functional methodology inspired by Alfred Ré
 nyi. Based on the normalized density ratio of the joint pdf between two ra
 ndom processes we show it is a positive definite function and therefore ac
 cepts an eigen decomposition. We show that the density ratio is a recursiv
 e bidirectional statistical mapping between conditional densities of conti
 nuous random processes\, which directly estimates their statistical depend
