DESCRIPTION:QC Elite Robotics Team 648 competes annually to inspire its Qua
d Cities high school participants to be future engineers and scientists. E
ach January\, teams across the country receive a robot kit\, and must desi
gn and build a robot over the next two months to compete against robots fr
om other teams in the region\, leading to the international competition. E
ach year’s contest is new\, requiring distinctive robot behaviors.\n\nQC
Elite has completed its 2024 robot design and build. The team will be tes
ting the new robot Saturday\, Feb 24\, as the dates for competition approa
ch. This year’s team includes about 15 students and engineer advisors. T
his meeting will be informal\, watching students put the finishing touches
on the robot. The IEEE St. Ambrose University Student Branch is treating
the team to pizza for lunch. Feel welcome to bring along family members or
a young aspiring scientist or engineer.\n\nThe team will display and expl
ain the mechanical\, electrical\, and programming features of this year’
s robot that distinguish it from past competitions.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Jo
