DESCRIPTION:Event Details\n\nTo improve responsiveness to change we (the sy
stems engineering community) extend the original concept of Agile/DevOps\,
used primarily in software environments\, into the cyber-physical world w
hich includes the design and development of hardware\, firmware\, and soft
ware.\n\nInnovation and collaboration across all levels of an organization
are critical for a company’s growth and survival in today’s fast-pace
d working environments\, where new digital capabilities emerge every day.
To improve responsiveness to change\, we extend the original concept of Ag
ile/DevOps\, used primarily in software environments\, into the cyber-phys
ical world which includes the design and development of hardware\, firmwar
e\, and software. The success patterns applied in this environment are ref
erred to as Industrial DevOps (IDO). The intent of IDO principles is to en
able significant cyber-physical systems development to be more responsive
and adaptive to changing priorities while reducing lead times. For some of
you these principles may already be part of your environment and you will
resonate with the potential they offer\; for others these principles will
be a paradigm shift in how to create teams that leverage everyone’s tal
ents for increased productivity and delivering results in the shortest sus
tainable lead time.\n\nThe speaker will be online. This event will be held
at The Aerospace Corp. in El Segundo\, and online via Zoom\, you can join
us from anywhere. No charge.\n\nAbout the Speaker\n\nDr. Suzette Johnson
works for Northrop Grumman Corporation. As an NG Fellow for Lean Agile\, s
he works for Space Systems fostering operational and program excellence to
achieve mission and business outcomes. Her experience with Lean Agile beg
an over twenty years ago with experience across IT systems and software an
d systems engineering for cyber-physical systems. She has led the adoption
of Lean Agile across the enterprise and has supported over 100 internal p
rojects and government programs on the Lean Agile journey. She holds sever
al certifications including Scaled Agile Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT)
\, Certified Enterprise Coach\, PMP\, and PMI-ACP. She received a Doctorat
e of Management Technology at the University of Maryland with a dissertati
on focused on investigating the Impact of leadership styles on software pr
oject outcomes in traditional and agile environments.\n\nSuzette Johnson\,
with co-author Robin Yeman\, has published multiple papers on Industrial
DevSecOps through IT Revolution where they outline how to expand DevOps ou
tside of software into management\, systems engineering\, hardware\, and f
irmware. In pursuit of continuous improvement within the defense domain sh
e co-leads the NDIA Agile working group\, is the NDIA Systems Engineering
Division vice-chair\, and actively participates in multiple INCOSE events.

egister for in person attendance. To receive a link to the event's recordi
