DESCRIPTION:Utility-scale transformers are custom designed-built for specif
ic transmission and distribution system requirements. There are many diffe
rent design approaches\, materials and manufacturing processes that can be
used to produce utility-scale transformers. These differences can result
in varying levels of system performance\, power transfer efficiency\, faul
t tolerance\, equipment life\, cost and the like. This two-day workshop wi
ll provide instruction on the many options available for the design and ma
nufacture of utility-scale transformers. It will cover TAPS\, Quality Assu
rance inspection (Pre-tanking and FAT Test) and receiving\, assembling\, i
nstall and test of transformer at site. It will also provide insight into
specifying the design and manufacture of transformers that are most approp
riate for specific system requirements.\n\nThe workshop fee includes break
fast\, morning refreshments and lunch.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Central Hudson
