DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 13th\, 2024 the IEEE Dayton Section will ho
 st its annual awards banquet to honor outstanding achievements of its memb
 ers. The reception\, dinner\, and award presentations will be at the Chari
 ty Earley Auditorium of the Ponitz Center of Sinclair Community College. D
 uring the event\, members will also have opportunity to recognize and enco
 urage local middle and high school students for their science fair project
 s\, and Dayton-area graduate students.\n\nAs a special element of the banq
 uet\, the keynote address will be given by prominent engineer Dr. Carrie R
 oot\, who wil speak on Work-Life Balance and Generationally Informed Decis
 ions.\n\nParking for the event is in the garage to the Ponitz Center\, Sin
 clair Community College\, and guests will receive a parking voucher at the
  event. The garage entrance is located at the corner of Perry St (N-S) and
  W. Fourth St (E-W)\, and the entrance to the Charity Earley Auditorium is
  at the north side of the garage.\n\nThe awards to be presented are:\n\n-\
 nIEEE Dayton Section Harrell V. Noble Award: given to an outstanding candi
 date who has made significant contributions to the research\, development\
 , and/or application of electronic devices or in education\, or management
  in the area of electronic devices.\n\n-\nIEEE Dayton Section Ravi Pallerl
 a Memorial Award for Young Professionals: given to an outstanding young pr
 ofessional in the Dayton Section who has made a significant technology-rel
 ated contribution in one of the following fields: engineering\, business\,
  management\, marketing\, or law.\n\n-\nIEEE Dayton Section Industrial Ene
 rgy and Power (PEAL) Award: given to an outstanding IEEE member in the Day
 ton Section to recognize exceptional contributions in the field of Industr
