DESCRIPTION:The automotive industry\, for instance\, uses semi-active and a
ctive suspension systems to recover part of the vibration in the suspensio
n and convert it into electrical energy.\n\nThis presentation will focus o
n the discrete and integrated vibration interface circuits used to interfa
ce to vibration harvesters.\nThis includes patented circuits developed in
180nm Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) to harvest from low v
oltage\, low current vibration harvester outputs. Applications for vibrati
 on harvesting such as bridge-based harvesting\, animal-based harvesting\,
and human-based harvesting will be explored as well as the challenges in t
he commercialization of vibration energy harvesting systems will be discus
 sed.\n\n[]\n\nCo-sponsored by: Waterloo Technical Society\n\nSpeaker(s): J

pril 8\, 2024. Guests are always welcome.\n\nYou are welcome to make a res
ervation for dinner or just come to the presentation.\n\nA presentation-on
ly reservation is appreciated for a head count to ensure enough seats and
to have a name tag for you.\n\nMeal: Dinner includes dinner roll\, water\,
