A key part of this is refineries\, which turn crude oil into transportation fuel\, heating oils\, waxes\, lubricants\, and an entire host of petrochemicals. A refinery can appear overwhelming. There are tanks\, pipes\, pumps\, compressors\, motor\, turbine\, heat exc hangers\, instruments\, controls and other equipment. The purpose of this talk is to explain what a refinery does\, and how the major units\, proces ses and equipment make it happen.
