DESCRIPTION:Our second lecture on the HIL/PIL series will offer the methodo
logy to speed up development process. Dr Jin will explain a workflow for q
uick concept validation\, and automatic embedded code generation and Proce
ssor-In-the-Loop (PIL) simulation for rapid control prototyping\, as well
as demo of running PSIM and SPICE simulations from one integrated environm
ent.\n\nIn this lecture\, you will:\n\n- Know when to perform simulation\,
and to what details (behavior/system-level vs. device level)\n- Understan
d the difference of analog control and digital control\, and how to migrat
e from analog to digital control\n- How to perform auto code generation fo
r TI DSP for quick hardware implementation\n- How to perform PIL simulatio
n for code validation\n\nLecturer: Dr. Hua Jin\n\nDr. Hua Jin received his
Bachelor's degree from Hunan University in China (1984)\, and Master's an
d Ph.D. from the University of Toronto\, Canada (1987 and 1991)\, all in E
lectrical Engineering.\n\nHe was a professor at both Concordia University\
, Montreal\, from 1991 to 1995\, and the University of British Columbia\,
Vancouver\, from 1995 to 1999\, engaging in teaching and research in power
electronics and motor drives.\n\nWhile in Vancouver\, he founded the IEEE
Power Electronics Society Vancouver Chapter and served as the Chapter Cha
ir\, organizing local events and activities. In 2001\, he founded [Powersi

he is involved in business and product development. Dr. Jin is the origina
l developer of the PSIM simulation software\, one of the leading softwares
in the field of power electronics and motor drives\, which has been used
in universities and companies in over 70 countries around the world.\n\nCo
