A new member was warmly welcomed. Greetings between attendants were given to each other \, followed by a luncheon\, supported by Seoul Section. The official meeti ng started around 12:40 with a roll call and opening address by the presid er\, Dae Gwon Jeong\, the LMAG Seoul Chair\, followed by the welcome addre ss by the former chair\, Professor Emeritus Kyun H Tchah.\n\nWe had a mome nt of condolence for Dr. Jung Uck Seo who passed away in January 2024 show ing slides of comforting words from many current and former IEEE officers. He was a remarkable leader in telecommunications in South Korea. He led t he development of the Large-Scale Commercialization of a CDMA cellular com munication system which gained the IEEE Milestone in January. The dedicati on ceremony will be held on 6 June 2024 in Seoul.\n\nThe chair reported th e LMAG Seoul 2023 activities\, including the IEEE milestone and the milest one received for the ‘Large-Scale Commercialization of a CDMA Cellular C ommunication System\, 1996’. Then the plan for the year was presented. A s a Culture Lecture\, Professor Dan Keun Sung presented ‘Visit to the Cu ltural History of Kyoto and Osaka’ with many beautiful pictures. Several topics were discussed for future activities including forming a survey gr oup for future milestone candidates\, the voluntary invited talk among the LMAG members\, and the company trips.
